The Kamyab Jawan Program was an umbrella initiative focused on the socio-economic empowerment of the youth. The Naya Pakistan Housing Program was launched in October 2018 with the ambitious goal of constructing 5 million affordable houses over five years. The project aimed to bridge the housing shortfall in Pakistan, create employment opportunities, and support dozens of allied industries through government-subsidized loans and land development.

Following an Indian violation of Pakistani airspace and a strike in Balakot on February 26, 2019, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) launched 'Operation Swift Retort' the next morning. During the engagement, the PAF shot down two Indian fighter jets and captured Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, who was later released as a 'peace gesture' by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The Sehat Sahulat Program was one of the most successful initiatives of the PTI government, providing universal health coverage to all citizens in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and later extended to all families in Punjab. Under this scheme, families were issued 'Sehat Cards' that allowed them to receive free medical treatment at both public and private empanelled hospitals for a limit of up to $10$ lakh rupees per year.

The Roshan Digital Account (RDA) was a major initiative by the State Bank of Pakistan under the PTI government. It allowed Overseas Pakistanis to open bank accounts in Pakistan remotely and digitally, enabling them to invest in the stock market and property, and utilize the 'Naya Pakistan Certificates,' which resulted in billions of dollars in foreign exchange inflows.

The Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project (RRUDP) was a high-priority urban planning initiative launched by the Imran Khan government to address Lahore's growing population and water scarcity issues. The project aimed to develop a modern, self-sustaining city over 100,000 acres, featuring forest zones and water treatment plants, though it faced several legal challenges from environmental groups.

Asad Umar served as the first Finance Minister of the PTI government from August 2018 to April 2019. He was responsible for the initial negotiations with the IMF for a bailout package. Following his resignation due to a cabinet reshuffle, he later served as the Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, where he headed the NCOC.
